Frequently Asked Questions

is a bridal trial required?

Bridal Trials are not mandatory but highly recommended. We want to provide you with the most efficient and best experience possible. More time can be taken during the trial to discuss the overall look you want to achieve on your wedding day. A full makeup application and/or hair style will be done and you're better able to envision how you will look and feel for your special day. Snap shots will be taken then emailed to you so that you can view your makeup look from all angles and make changes if you need.

how far in advance should makeup and hair be booked?

Beauty Haus books weddings anywhere from one month up to 18 months in advance. 12 months prior to the wedding is the most crucial time to start securing your beauty team. All of our dates are subject to availability and bookings are based on a first come, first serve basis.

why should I hire a professional makeup or hair artist?

It is so crucial to hire a professional hair and makeup artist for your wedding day.  Professionals will make sure that your makeup and hair can withstand the long day and photograph beautifully. We are trained to ensure that you will look and feel your absolute best. This is such an important day and what better day to relax and treat yourself.

To secure an artist for the wedding, a minimum 20% non-refundable retainer is required along with a signed contract. Once we've receive both, your artist will be locked in for your wedding.

what is required to secure services for the wedding?

For Makeup: A clean moisturized face is preferred for makeup. Sheet masks are great to use the night before to help plump & hydrate the skin. If you plan to wax or thread your brows/upper lip, please do so a few days before the wedding. A month before your wedding, refrain from getting facials and extractions and stick to skincare that you are familiar with and works. This is not the time to try something new.

For Hair: Clean, dry hair is preferred unless stated otherwise during your trial. Day old hair works great especially if you plan on keeping your hair down. Refrain from using products containing a lot of silicone.

how should I prep makeup/hair for the wedding?

A large table with as much natural light as possible (we typically work in the dining area) A lower chair for hair and a higher chair/bar stool for makeup. If you have a large mirror it would be a bonus for hair!

what does the artist need on the wedding day?

Once the contract is signed, the client is obligated to the amount of services/rate on the contract. While we cannot reduce the amount of services, they can be added if there are artists available to get everyone ready. It is important to be sure about the amount services that you require. If someone happens to drop out or cannot make it, we kindly recommend finding someone to fill in their spot.

can I remove people from the contract if my bridal party changes?
